I've been working in the hospitality industry for over 5 years as COO of hotel metasearch and as AirBNB host, and can take care of marketing and operations. I am looking for someone who is interested in co-owning a VR property and possibly help with other aspects of vacation rental business.
Preference would be given to a candidate who is interested in living in Spain for a 3-6 months in a year, while subletting the rest of the days via online booking platforms, such as Airbnb, Homeaway, and others to cover the annual costs and gain profits.
Project is in planning phase. Evaluating various options for vacation rental properties. The final choice is on hold until I find a co-investor.
Vacation rental market has been a hot opportunity for investments, attracting over $100M in venture capital in the US and Europe. South of Spain has enjoyed a constant growth of tourism traffic.

Real estate in Spain is recovering after a deep dive in 2011-2012, but still hasn't reached the price levels of 2002-2006. The forecasts are that the real estate prices will continue to rise 10-15% for the next 3-4 years.

The competition is very fragmented, with a few large regional players. However, 99% are booked throughout the season, and around 70% are booked in the low season periods.

As I mentioned before, I've been working in the hospitality industry for over 5 years as COO of hotel metasearch and as AirBNB host, maintaining AirBNB SuperHost status. I am very familiar with the way how the VR marketplaces work, and am confident that I can generate a flow of clients from the first months, as well as maintain high level of customer service.
Total investment required is €90K. Part of this amount I contribute myself. Gross profit is in the range of €7-10K per annum.
